Den Os Beers
The Den Os beers, the true stars of the Bourgogne des Flandres brewery, formerly known as Den Os brewery in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Den Os Brewery, founded in 1765, left its mark on the brewing history of the city of Bruges under the leadership of the Van Houtryve family. Owners of several breweries, including Den Os, La Marine and Ten Ezele, the family produced iconic beers such as Dubbel, Tripel, and the famous Bourgogne des Flandres. After five generations, the brewery closed its doors in 1957, marking the end of an era.
In 2015, Anthony Martin revived Den Os in the heart of Bruges, using Bourgogne des Flandres as its flagship. But deep down, the true stars are the Blonden Os and Bruinen Os beers, blended with lambic to create Bourgogne des Flandres, now joined by Triplen Os and Na Dorst.
