In de neus verleidt hij met zoete tonen van vanille, pure chocolade en rijpe vruchten, subtiel aangevuld met kruidige en florale toetsen. In de mond zorgt de ronde moutigheid voor balans met het kruidige, aardse karakter van de rogge, verrijkt met nuances van kruidnagel en zoethout. De afdronk is lang, elegant en complex, met verfijnde houtaccenten en een romige volheid die nazindert.

AROMA

An inviting, sweet aroma opens the palate with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and ripe red apple, subtly intertwined with floral accents and a hint of pear. The rye immediately reveals itself with a spicy, earthy undertone, featuring aromas of clove, anise, and liquorice.

TASTE AND MOUTHFEEL

On the palate, the earthy character returns—now richer and fuller—carried by spicy notes reminiscent of pepper. The texture is smooth, offering a fine balance between the liveliness of the rye and the round sweetness of the malt. The sweetness remains prominent, creating a layered and refined tasting experience.

FINISH AND OVERALL IMPRESSION

The finish is long, elegant, and complex. The spiciness slowly fades away. The bourbon cask aging reveals itself in subtle woody notes and a creamy mouthfeel that lingers beautifully.
